“I Am the Truest, Only Vine;
My Father, the Vine-Dresser.
Whoever abides in Me shall live;
Apart from Me – apart they fail
Just as a branch so cut away
Cannot, in flower, prevail.
He who will not trust in Me
And bear no fruit of Faith
Will be lopped; trampled; burned –
This warning I do sayeth!
Oh, those who will abide in Me
Will be My Branches, reaching,
To bear the Fruit of My Spirit
Through faithful Mission teaching.
The fruit is Peace, Joy and Love;
Goodness; Self-control!
Those they own, but only if
My Spirit claims their soul.
Pruning time will not bring fear
When tribulations fester,
For Faithfulness will gather close
To found a ripening cluster.
Do not shy away when checked;
Temptation’s pits, agape –
Then Patience grows and ripens
To a pleasant tasting grape.
This is My Father glorified
That you bear much fruit in Me!
In this will the whole Earth see;
The Peace betray your loyalty.”
