The Prophesy of Daniel
“Faithful Daniel, be My Witness;
Stand as prophet to the king.
In captivity find thy honour
Because thou praise Me as supreme.
Bear My Name before the servants;
Speak My Grace before the king.
Fear not of the wrath that cometh
By power of the Signet Ring.
“Persecution flays the body,
But four will grasp the Spirit, fair.
Three will be cast into furnace,
But, behold! I will be there.
One will stand in condemnation;
Thrown into a lions’ den,
But Faith, the joyous faith that pleases,
Will be Protecting Cloak again.
“Angels! Clamp the roaring mouths –
Let the hungry beasts be full!
Let the pacing lions rest
Until the king’s decree’s annulled.
“Children, I Am there beside thee –
In the fire; in the den;
In the courts and in exile,
I will linger closely then –
Keep thee strongly all the while!
“Dream, Daniel, dream tonight!
Dream long a dream of kings.
Shortly the king will summon thee
To interpret what this tiding brings.
Write, My Daniel, what thou see
As thou spendeth time with Me.
I bestow on thee a gift:
To prophesy the world adrift
Upon the Sea of Inconstancy –
But Israel shall return to Me.
Dream such visions of the future!
Dream what will, someday, unfold.
Never will the future hold
What I have never had foretold.
Dream a vision of a Man;
Witness what I future plan.
A time and time and timely-half
Will pass before My Kingly Staff.”
