The Symbolism of Joshua
“And after Moses, Joshua leads
My people to the Promised Land,
Across desert into foreign country
To conquer nations, as I planned.
He will guide the remnant there;
In faithfulness, he’s bound.
And Caleb, too, will journey far;
Beside Joshua, stood his ground.
Joshua gathers the people near –
“Hear, O Israel, what I say!
Whatever before us shall appear,
Let God be glorified this day!
He has led us thus this way;
Though we often heeded not.
This I ask: we faithful pray;
Thank Him for the chance He brought.
Whom will ye serve? The foreign gods?
Ah no, surely not I!
My household is for the Lord above;
‘Him alone!’ my heartfelt cry.
Whatever so thee decide
Is thy way and thine alone.
But I proclaim to all ye witnesses:
My household is His throne.
He shall have His way in us.
We are for His service.
So choose thee now, who will thee serve?
Surrender not amiss.
Have ye courage; have ye strength.
He is with us where’re we go.
So, come – let us this land embrace
That He gives us by His grace,
And raise our children His ways to know.”
“He boldly goes forth to the land.
In battle, he shall lead.
And here, for the first time known,
I, a human voice, shall heed!
In boldness of his faith, he cries:
O Sun! Standeth thou still!
Moon, halt within thy path,
And neither move, until
Israel has smitten her enemies
And of Vengeance has her fill.”
“There, O Father, he has brought
Our wandering people home!
Just as I will lead them true
When to Earth I’ll come!
Moses brought them close to here,
But Joshua leads them in.
So many men will save Our people,
But only I redeem from Sin.
If they follow Me in truth,
I’ll bring them to Heaven in peace –
Though it cost a battle to reach
And cause Struggle to increase.
For I Am Yeshua! Saviour
And the Joshua here now,
Is a symbol of My leadership
And the justice I endow.

The Symbolism of the Judges
After Joshua, I will raise
Thirteen who value Justice’s ways.
Judges I shall anoint below
To be My Voice, that man may know
It is I Who gives them Hope;
It is I Who provides sage.
I answer prayers and doth sustain
Generations from Age to Age.”
